Armin Strom has added a hand-crafted guilloché dial option to its Mirrored Force Resonance family of fine watches.
The collection was first introduced as a rose gold limited edition, and later offered in a stainless steel model.
Now Armin Strom has teamed up with master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen for the creation of guilloché dials, which are being made in black, blue, anthracite, red or bi-colour versions.
It will also be crafted to order in several different pattern options including sun-ray, concentric waves or barleycorn.
The complex production process of these guilloché dials will add an extra CHF 5,000 (£3800) to the price of a standard Mirrored Force Resonance.
The dials are manufactured in Voutilainen’s Môtiers-based workshop, on century-old engine-turning lathes, which can only be controlled by hand. The intricate patterns, obtained by chiseling a smooth metallic plate with extreme precision and care, are true pieces of art, reflective of the craftsmen’s skills and virtuosity, Armin Strom says.
