VIDEO: G-Shock & Dazed awards party in London

G-Shock last week hosted its 30th Anniversary Awards in London in association with Dazed & Confused magazine, celebrating emerging talents across fashion, sport, music and art.

The ceremony took place at the London Film Museum in Covent Garden, with an after party thrown featuring a performance by Wu Tang Clan rapper Ghostface Killah, as well as Jeru the Damaja and Sadat X.

 

The awards ceremony was hosted by Radio 1 DJ Nihal, with judges including Louise Gray, Stephen Ayres and Milo Cordell and guests including Leah Weller, Suki Waterhouse, Lola Lennox, Clara Paget.

The Casio G-Shock 30th Anniversary Awards aims to “find and nurture individuals making culturally defining strides” across the realms of fashion, music, sport and art. The winners each received £3,000 prize money.

Chris Mears, a Team GB diver, was awarded a special £5,000 prize for best exemplifying G-SHOCK’s Spirit of Toughness, having overcome a ruptured spleen three years ago, when he was given just a 5% chance of survival.
