VIDEO: Day one at International Jewellery London

International Jewellery London (IJL) kicked off at Earls Court yesterday with a watch brand line up that includes Bering, Storm, DMJ, Unique Jewelry and the Peers Hardy Group.

IJL, which runs until Wednesday at Earls Court, opened its doors to members of the watch and jewellery industry, including retail buyers from at home and abroad.

Among the jewellery exhibitors, is the Watch Trail, which is sponsored by Bering Time and features watch brands including Bering; DMJ; the Peers Hardy Group, comprising Ice-Watch, Radley, Boccia, Kahuna, Cross, Moshi Monsters and most recently Daniel Wellington and Unique Jewelry, which distributes Candino, Festina, Lotus and now Oxygen.

Also exhibiting at IJL for the first time this year is Lars Larsen Watches with its Swiss-made, Danish-designed timepieces. Lars Larsen Watches co-founder and owner Dan Corfitzen said: “We are presenting a unique selection of high quality Danish designed watches, each one individually inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and functionality.”

Talking about the event, which will change location in 2014 to Olympia, IJL event director Sam Willoughby said: “We’re incredibly proud of IJL as the show is such a special part of the jewellery industry and a major date in the calendar. So many fantastic designers and brands will be unveiling their latest collections only at IJL, ahead of the autumn/winter season and the following year, and there are some really outstanding plans for the event’s last year at Earls Court.”
