Vacheron Constantin hosts Paris Opera Ballet lunch

Luxury brand Vacheron Constantin last week hosted a special lunch for the American friends of the Paris Opera and Ballet, in honour of the ballet company’s director Brigitte Lefevre.

The Paris Opera Ballet opened at the Lincoln Centre in New York, where the lunch took place.

Juan-Carlos Torres, chief executive of Vacheron Constantin, hosted the event alongside Olivia Flatto, chairman of the American Friends of the Paris Opera & Ballet, and Antonin Baudry, cultural counselor of the French Embassy in New York.

During the event Torres formally announced that the company’s sponsorship of the Paris Opera & Ballet would continue: “We are honored to support The Paris Opera Ballet and look forward to supporting and celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Ecole de Danse next year,” he said.

At the lunch guests were able to view timepieces from Vacheron Constantin’s Métiers d’Art and Patrimony collections. Its Métiers d’Art Chagall & l’Opéra de Paris timepieces were presented for the first time ever in the US, including the Tribute to Famous Composers timepiece, whose dial is an exact reproduction of the famous Chagall ceiling of the Garnier Opera house.

Vacheron Constantin has been a sponsor of the Opera National de Paris since 2007.

This year the brand chose to sponsor the Paris Opera Ballet’s US tour with performances in three cities – Chicago, Washington and New York.
