US brand Niall launches with American credentials

Kansas City-based start-up watch brand Niall has taken the wraps off of its first luxury watch after two years of research and development.

The Niall One is the first watch to be released by the brand, which prides itself on American manufacturing, claiming that 93.3% of the watch’s components are made in the United States.

Michael Wilson, founder and chief executive officer, said: “The launch of the Niall One represents where we are heading as a company – a leader in the production of highly crafted, luxury goods right here in America.”

Rather than offshore the Niall One’s manufacturing, Wilson looked to home-grown manufacturers to answer his company’s needs and introduced innovative solutions, such as using Corning Gorilla Glass – the toughened glass used on the display of many smartphones – as the watch glass.

Wilson added: “When we set out to build the next great luxury brand, we bucked the trend and made the commitment and investment to source as much of our product in the United States as possible. By producing phenomenal products right here in America, this company is really a representation of what it means to be all in. We believe this is a brand people will have a deep personal connection with.”

The brand utilises tried and tested Swiss automatic movements housed inside American-built watches that are currently available to buy via the brand’s own website priced between US $3,750-$3,950 (£2,257-2,377).
