Ulysse Nardin launches El Toro perpetual calendar

Ulysse Nardin has launched a new perpetual calendar for 2012, having launched its first calendar timepiece back in 1996, featuring a single crown that allowed all backwards and forwards adjustments.

The new watch – the El Toro – is said to feature groundbreaking technologies and is equipped with the brand’s manufacture movement featuring an exclusive quick-setting timezone system.

The hour hand can be adjusted instantly using plus or minus pushers, while the oversized date – which features the day, month and year – can also be synchronised by the movement of the hour hand.

The El Toro 43mm timepiece is available in an 18 ct rose-gold case with a silverized blue dial. The bezel and pushers, made in ceramic, are said to “emphasize the complementary palette of rose-gold and blue”.

The watch was first unveiled at BaselWorld in March, and feature Ulysse’s own Caliber UN-32 movement, has a power reserve of 45 hours and is COSC certificated.
