Ulysse Nardin buys into Ochs und Junior

Ulysse Nardin has bought into the shareholder capital of fellow Swiss watch brand Ochs und Junior

As part of the agreement, Ochs und Junior will begin to incorporate Ulysse Nardin’s caliber UN-118 into its watches.

Ulysse Nardin said in a statement that the deal is “part of a long-term strategy and aims, firstly, to establish a stronger synergy between the two companies”.

A spokesperson for Ulysse Nardin said that “no further details in regards to the amount or percentage of the participation” could be revealed.

Ochs und Junior, which was founded by Musée International d’Horlogerie curator and director and watch designer Ludwig Oechslin, has recently opened a new head office in Lucerne, Switzerland. The office includes a showroom that can be visited by the watch brand’s customers, and also sells other non-watch products that the brand feels are complementary to its offer.
