The cream of the UK watch industry will gather tonight for the dazzling WatchPro Hot 100 in association with Swarovski party. The exclusive, invite-only event at Kensington Roof Gardens will see the most influential individuals in the trade all gather for the unveiling of this year’s Hot 100 list.
There is a spirit of excitement and goodwill in the air on the day of the Budget announcement, Wimbledon men’s quarter finals and the start of the Ashes series. Tapping into this special aura, and with the clouds set to disperse almost perfectly in time for the start of the party of the year this evening, the event is set to live long in the memory.
“Never underestimate the positive spirit of us Brits, especially those of us that work in this crazy world of watches!” said James Buttery, editor of WatchPro, the event’s sister publication and organiser. “Everyone I’ve spoken to has taken the Tube strike in their stride admirably, plus it looks like Dame Fortune is smiling down on us, with forecasters saying that the sun will break out at about 8pm.”
With Principal Partner Swarovski’s outdoor garden games, Gold Partner Mondaine serving Pimms and strawberries and cream and Technology Partner Bransom providing a magician to entertain guests, event director Daniel Malins is in no doubt that this year’s WatchPro Hot 100 party will be the best yet.
“I genuinely believe that everything has come together to make tonight a truly memorable occasion for anyone lucky enough to be at Kensington Roof Gardens,” Malins said. “The venue is second-to-none, the guest list is simply staggering, the Hot 100 list is remarkable, and it even looks like the sun is going to put in an appearance just as guests start arriving.”
