Tyson heads star-studded Hublot charity auction

Hublot is bringing together 12 boxing legends this weekend to raise money for charities supported by the World Boxing Council.

The Swiss luxury watch brand will host an auction in Las Vegas on September 29 with 12 Hublot watches up for grabs, each of which will commemorate one of the legendary boxers.

The boxers taking part are Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis, Jeff Fenech, Larry Holmes, Ken Norton, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Azumah Nelson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar De La Hoya and George Foreman.

The 12 winning bidders will receive their watch from the fighter himself on a staged ring set at the luxurious Bellagio Hotel, surrounded by more than 300 guests.

"Hublot feels proud and privileged to have joined the fight of the legends of this great sport,” said Jean-Claude Biver, chairman of Hublot.

“These twelve unique pieces reflect the fusion between the fierce competitors of the historic sport of boxing and the accomplishments of 450 years of Swiss watch making art," he added.
