A thief has stolen several thousand pounds worth of Tissot wristwatches from CW Sellors in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
The thief smashed the window of the store and grabbed the watches, which were on display in the shop’s window, on Monday at about 1.40am.
The suspect is described as 6ft tall with a stocky build and Whitby police are asking retailers to be vigilant should anyone approach them selling Tissot watches.
PC Harry Baker, of Whitby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "I urge anyone with information about this burglary to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away. I would like to speak to anyone who may be offered a wristwatch in unusual circumstances and ask them to come forward as soon as possible."
Should any retailers believe they have information that could help the police they can get in touch with Whitby Police on 101.
