Timex ecommerce launch sees triple-digit growth

Timex has recorded a triple-digit sales boost in the UK since launching its own e-commerce platform back in November.

Top sellers have been come from the American watch brand’s fashion categories including Timex Originals and Weekender collections since www.timex.co.uk was transformed into a transactional platform, offering the company’s entire range.

The Timex IQ collection, driven by the company’s state-of-the-art Intelligent Quartz movement, has also seen a significant growth in interest and online sales.

Aysha Hasan, marketing manager for Timex UK, said: “We are thrilled with the launch of the Timex.co.uk website thus far, with sales exceeding our expectations. Consumers are looking for their favourite brands at retail, but increasingly also online and the website gives us a channel to communicate with them directly. Timex.co.uk will also be a great tool to test new product SKUs and offer our consumer exclusives on collections that traditional retailers might normally shy away from.”

Timex has also developed its relationships with its trend-led fashion and lifestyle retailers including Goodhood, End Clothing, ASOS and other key partners.

A special collaboration, Goodhood x Timex sold out in less than two weeks, whilst noted online fashion menswear store End Clothing also showed signs of positive consumer demand, selling out of Timex® Originals pieces from their début collection pre-Christmas.

Hasan continued: “Timex UK is continuing to meet the growing demand for a unique product offering aimed at a younger fashion focused consumer. By combining our 160 years of heritage in watch making with fashion leaders within UK retail, we’re able to offer the Timex customer something unique and on trend at amazing price points. We plan on continuing to grow this success in 2015.”
