Timex claims to be distilling three decades-worth of experience creating hi-tech watches into its latest phone for fitness fanatics.

The Ironman Run x50+ is a companion gadget for runners and gym junkies who want to access all the common features of their smartphone on their wrist.

The watch uses Bluetooth to speak to a phone so that fitness, messaging and even music and caller apps can be viewed without ever needing tap away on a phone’s screen.

The phone connects wirelessly to iOS and Android mobile phone apps, while also performing as a watch, stopwatch, interval timer and alarm clock.
