The Watch Hut wins 88 Rue du Rhone web launch

The Watch Hut will be the lead online retailer in the launch of 88 Rue du Rhone watches in the UK, having scored a deal to sell the brand through both it and its sister site The Watch Gallery.

The brand was unveiled to the UK market last month at an event hosted by The Watch Hut’s parent company DM London in Selfridges, but its partnership with the online retailer will be its first online targeted at UK consumers.

A release from The Watch Hut said: “The 88 Rue Du Rhone watches brand represents a new kind of luxury from a new generation.

“Their decision to use the online retailer The Watch Hut as one of their launch partners is an indication of the growing importance of the specialist online shop.”

The brand is the brainchild of brothers Pierre and Elie Bernheim, the grandsons of watchmaker Raymond Weil.

The 88 Rue du Rhone brand aims to offer elegant timepieces that “balance Swiss excellence and contemporary designs, tradition and innovation whilst remaining accessible to a broader market”.
