The Big Watch Survey 2015 reveals most owned watch brands

When quizzed about which watches they currently owned, respondents to Esquire and Men’s Health’s The Big Watch Survey pointed to owning one brand standing out by a long way.

The watch brand most commonly owned by respondents was Casio with 5,336 people stating they owned one. Omega came in second with 4,017 owned.

The remainder of the top five owned brands was made up of Seiko (3,778), TAG Heuer (3,757) and Rolex (3,197).

The list, when compared against the survey’s 50 Most Wanted list, illustrates the aspirational nature of watch collecting with affordable brands such as Casio, Seiko, TAG Heuer, Citizen and Armani all featuring in the top ten most owned watches, while more expensive brands appear in the 50 Most Wanted.

Respondents reported spending an average of £1,321 on their first watch purchase.
