TAG Heuer urges London Marathon runners not to crack under pressure

TAG Heuer was the Official Timekeeper for the second year running at Sunday’s Virgin Money London Marathon at which around 40,000 runners completed the 26.2 mile course.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators lined the route, and the race was likely to have been watched by over 4.5 million people.

TAG Heuer branding was seen throughout the marathon, including an installation at Canary Wharf where a crack in the road was painted to signify the brand’s Don’t Crack Under Pressure slogan.

TAG Heuer is known all over the world for its sports timekeeping and racing spirit and works with a number of the major international marathons. As well as the Virgin Money London Marathon, the company also sponsors marathons in Chicago, Paris, Moscow and Berlin.

The crack in the road appeared just over 19 miles into the race at 1 Cabot Square, Canary Wharf, one of the many iconic landmarks on the race route.

“TAG Heuer has a long and illustrious history timing the world’s most prestigious races – we are the original sports timekeeper,” said TAG Heuer chief Eeecutive Jean-Claude Biver.

“We have been making precision timekeeping instruments for more than a century. TAG Heuer congratulates all the Virgin Money London Marathon runners and says, Don’t Crack Under Pressure.”
