T H Baker has signed up Swiss watch brand Roamer – and new account for the retailer – with the watches chosen for its latest store opening, in Shrewsbury.
Dave Evans, store manager at the new location, said of the brand: “Roamer is a premier Swiss brand at an excellent price point, and the wide collection of both ladies’ and gents’ watches fits in perfectly with our watch offering at T H Baker.
“The watches look great – with a nice mix of classic, elegant styles and outstanding functionality. The fact that all Roamer watches are produced with sapphire crystal glass and come with a five-year guarantee is also a strong selling point that is sure to appeal to our customers.”
To celebrate the new T H Baker store opening in Shrewsbury Roamer’s key account manager Dale Rowe took the store’s staff out for a Christmas celebration, something Evans said all of the staff enjoyed.
Rowe had previously visited the store for staff training, before returning for a refresher session. ICG, which distributes the brand in the UK, said that Roamer ensures regular training is undertaken to aid staff in their understanding of the heritage and mechanics of the Swiss brand. Roamer is also currently running a national press campaign to support retail.
