Storm Watches has announced a sponsorship deal with the recently promoted London Welsh Rugby Club, in a move that it says breaks it into the world of professional sports.
Storm has said the partnership will enable it “to reinforce and build on [its] brand awareness through an important sector”. The sponsorship will cover the 2012-13 season through to May 2013 and will include Storm advertisements in the London Welsh match programmes, on banners and on the ground’s digital displays.
The fashion-focused brand will also sponsor new London Welsh signing Tom Bristow and coach Lyn Jones.
Lisa Dack, brand manager at Storm Watches said: “We are proud and excited to be driving our brand forward by sponsoring London Welsh and are looking forward to the exposure for our watches in the British sport sector – a new opportunity for us.
“We believe in supporting success and are pleased to be working together with London Welsh in the premiership on their return to the top flight of rugby”.
Mark Kemp, head of commercial at London Welsh described Storm as “a great fit” for the club.
“Having a retail partner of Storm’s standing is a great addition to our partnerships and supporting brands. Watch this space for additions to the retail range and join us all in welcoming Strorm London to the teulucymreig,” said Kemp.
