Oris has long established itself as a powerhouse in the world of divers’ watches, but this year what stood out during its Baselworld presentation was the Aquis Date collection, specifically the blue dialled version with the stainless steel bracelet, which floated our boat enormously.
Oris’s designers have added a touch of elegance to the tool watch to reflect the versatility owners now expect from a divers’ watch.
Oris diver’s watches are no longer just for underwater adventures, they’re often found under a cuff.
This round blue dial, with luminous hands and indices and a surrounding black ceramic bezel, has a simple date window function positioned at 6 o’clock.
The watch is powered by Oris’s version of a Sellita automatic movement and priced at a highly attractive £1520.
It is water resistant up to 300m and comes in an Oris presentation box with a two year warranty.
