Fraser Hart’s head of buying is set to join Swarovski to help launch a new jewellery brand in its UK and European markets.
Myalee Sofield, who has featured in the last two WatchPro Hot 100 publications as a Premier Buyer, is joining Swarovski International as head of sales, Jewellery Solutions EMEA.
Sofield’s newly created role will see her initially launch a new jewellery brand into the UK and Europe as well as managing a combination of private label and licensed brands. The role will also involve building a new team.
Sofield told WatchPro: “I am moving out of watches, which is a little sad, and I am obviously very sad to be leaving Fraser Hart as I have loved my role here and of course my team”.
“It was a huge decision to make, but I am now looking forward to the next challenge and Swarovski is a huge international company with lots of opportunity so although a little nervous, I am also very excited!”
Fraser Hart is believed to be in process of recruiting for luxury watch buyer and head of buying roles.
