Sinclair Harding enjoys successful year at Basel

Yorkshire clockmaker Sinclair Harding says it enjoyed a highly successful Baselworld, with particularly strong interest and order from UK buyers.

Luxury department store Asprey was a big win, which commissioned the company to design Asprey-branded clocks for them.

The first order, which included Moonphase Sea Clocks finished in Rhodium on a Star Galaxy base (pictured), was delivered to Asprey this week.

Other new customers from the UK include PR Jones, George Pragnell and Tarratt group, revealed Sinclair Harding’s Georgie Roper.

In recent years, the UK has not been a particular target market for Sinclair Harding, with the business mainly focused on export markets like the Middle East and Asia.

These markets continued to buy, Roper told WatchPro. “We have started working with new customers in the Middle East, and we took orders from the United States, China, Italy and Germany,” she added.

Baselworld was particularly special this year for Sinclair Harding as it was founder Robert Bray’s 20th anniversary at the show.
