Formal wear specialist Oscar de la Renta has teamed up with Detroit watch brand Shinola to create a new limited edition timepiece.

The Lattice has been introduced as part of the brand’s Shinola Salutes series which celebrates icons of American design and manufacturing.

The watch will be hand-assembled in Shinola’s Detroit watch factory in a limited edition run of 1000, and each watch will be individually numbered.

The 36mm design has been inspired by the Oscar de la Renta jewellery collection and features a faceted sapphire crystal, white mother-of-pearl dial, signature mosaico crown and Shinola’s Detroit-built Argonite 751 quartz movement.

Three styles, each fitted with a different coloured alligator strap, are available including a stainless steel case inset with 68 diamonds (£2,450), gold PVD case, (£1,450) and stainless steel (£1,300). The watch will be available from Oscar de la Renta’s Mount Street store in Mayfair from mid-October.
