Seiko has announced the release of a limited edition watch collaboration with Japanese manga comic, TV show and movie Golgo 13.
The manga series has been running since the late 1960s, and is focused on a professional assassin. It is said to be so hugely popular that it has spawned movies, TV series, videogames and has sold in excess of 200 million of its various formats combined.
Seiko has now produced 500 limited-edition stainless steel 47mm timepieces called the Seiko Sea Golga L.E. The brand has already announced that new models will be added to the limited edition collection in September.
The watch retails at JPY126,000, about £1010.
This is not the first time Seiko have teamed up with a manga publication to launch a watch, having previously worked with the creators of Astro Boy in 2010 for a limited-edition timepiece.
