British watch brand Schofield, launched last year by Giles Ellis, has sold out of its 300 Signalman GMT PR timepieces, due to “incredible demand”.
The models, created with limited edition serial numbers that can be tailored to that of the buyer, have been a hit, with only a handful of the watch’s sister product, the Signalman DLC, still remaining.
Giles Ellis said that the press and online coverage and reviews of Schofield watches had had a positive impact on the brand.
“I never expected people to discover the details that went into Schofield and the Signalman, but they did and it is these discerning folk that have adhered to the brand and helped me reach wider audiences with their Tweeting, Facebooking, Instagraming, blogging, videoing, reviewing and writing.”
Ellis says the pre-order for 2012 delivery is open, but he is waiting on movements from Soprod, which are not due for delivery until next year.
All Signalman model watches sold in 2012 and 2013 are part of the original limited edition production run; 300 of the Signalman GMT PR and 100 of the Signalman DLC.
