Dietrich returns to SalonQP with its re-worked OT-7 timepiece

Dietrich is to showcase its recently unveiled OT-7 watch at November’s SalonQP.

Revealed during Baselworld earlier this year, the OT-7 introduces a new harmony in the O.Time range, according to the brand. Dietrich says a well-balanced mix between copper and grey tones, are designed to make this new reference a potential classic while remaining strikingly contemporary.

The watch features white superluminova matt black hands, copper tone dial’s second layer, copper coloured PVD treatment on the bezel screws, a case and bezel coated with grey PVD and stainless steel brushed outline around the bezel. It also has a grey nubuck leather strap with copper stitching, Miyota 82-S-7 with an open view on the escapement on the dial’s side and custom sapphire glass.

Designer Emmanuel Dietrich says: “I wanted to design a very elegant and versatile vision of the O.Time by mixing a cold and a warm colour scheme. This contrast creates a great feeling of balance.

“Compared to our other references, the colours used here are more issued form materials than colours as such. Copper tones and metallic greys evoke the alliance of two metals, and give the OT-7 a very pure and genuine feel.

“As a designer, I had to often laugh at this sentence found in all of my clients’ briefings: ‘classic but contemporary’, but indeed, this is certainly the product-design grail. I hope that the OT-7 will bring us closer to it,” he concluded.
