Just 18 pieces of Ateliers deMonaco’s latest limited edition Poinçon de Genève watches are being made, and the creation will take pride of place at the brand’s SalonQP exhibition.
As one of very few watchmaking houses to carry the Poinçon de Genève certification, Ateliers deMonaco says it aims to express its attachment to watchmaking tradition through its new model, available in 18ct white and rose gold.
The watch has a sapphire dial and is designed to achieve a blend of aesthetic appeal and technical refinement. It enables the wearer to see the perlage decoration on the movement. Its lozenge indexes and its hand-applied roman indexes accentuate its elegance, according to the watchmaker.
To power this timepiece, the watchmakers of Ateliers deMonaco have equipped it with the in-house and patented dMc-708 calibre featuring a 38 hour power reserve and driving central hour, minute and second hands. The ultra-thin characteristics of this calibre enabled the brand to encase it within a 9.2mm high case. The sapphire crystal case exposes to view the hand-decorated bridges which have a Côtes de Genève finishing.
To acquire the Poinçon de Genève stamp, each movement from this limited edition had to be assembled, adjusted and encased in the brand’s manufacture in the Canton of Geneva.
The watch is presented with a black and a brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap with either 18ct white or rose gold ardillon buckle. Every watch stamped with the Poinçon de Genève comes with a certificate of origin.
