Rue Du Rhone partners with rising culinary star

New Swiss watch brand 88 Rue Du Rhone has teamed up with a rising culinary star to bring fans of the watch brand money-can’t-buy culinary experiences.

88 Rue Du Rhone will partner with 25-year-old chef Jason Lloyd, who is due to star in a TV cooking show next year and is opening a restaurant just outside Glasgow called Sláinte, to host master class evenings during which Lloyd will share some of his expertise with guests.

The soon-to-be celebrity chef is also now an official ambassador of the brand, which was founded by the grandsons of Raymond Weil.

88 Rue Du Rhone director and founder Pierre Bernheim said: “We are absolutely delighted that Jason has agreed to become an ambassador for 88 Rue Du Rhone. We are a company that is proud of our young yet cutting edge team and felt that Jason reflects all the things that we stand for – passion, innovation and creativity.

“We look forward to creating consumer-facing master classes that allow Jason to pass on his extensive expertise within gastronomy. As restaurateurs ourselves, we want to be able to support Jason in his quest in opening up his own establishment next year.”

88 Rue du Rhone launched earlier this year, selecting London as the first city to sell its collections through a partnership with department store Selfridges. The brand has since won accounts with retailers including John Lewis and The Watch Hut.
