Rox educates customers on the artistry, history and craftsmanship of luxury watchmaking

Luxury watch specialists Rox has published a substantial report on the history, craftsmanship and artistry of luxury watchmaking on its website.

The idea, according to Rox managing director Kyron Keogh, is to place the modern timekeepers its sells from the likes of Hublot, Bremont, Audemars Piguet, Chopard and Zenith, in historical and horological context.

“We wanted to reflect the level of skill and craftsmanship that goes into creating luxury watches. We’ve launched an incredible piece of content that reflects the aesthetic beauty and detail of the watches we sell and their complications.  We tell the fascinating story of the art of luxury watchmaking in a compelling way that will inform and entertain those that may not even yet know they are interested in timepieces right through to providing new information to even the most ardent aficionados,” he said.

The Art of Luxury Watchmaking feature, researched and researched by journalist Alex Doak, is a comprehensive piece of interactive, long-form content that covers everything anyone could ever want to know about the world’s most exclusive timepieces.

“The first thing people notice about luxury watches is the price tag — and the first thing I always respond with is how totally worth it they are. The sheer effort that goes into crafting these extraordinary micro-machines is excruciatingly exacting. It’s all of this that Rox’s wonderful new platform conveys to curious, would-be horological collectors, and more. It’s an understatement to say how proud I am to have worked on the Art of Luxury — something that elevates Rox even higher as the retailer in the know, not to mention something by which the watch brands themselves can feel particularly complemented (let alone complimented!),” Mr Doak describes.
