Rowell joins 88 Rue du Rhone

88 Rue du Rhone is expanding its UK team with the appointment of former Hamilton Northern account manager Matthew Rowell.

Brand Manager Rowell will work to further expand 88 Rue du Rhone’s distribution network for independent and multiple retailers.

The Swiss brand was founded by Pierre & Elie Bernheim, the grandsons of the late Raymond Weil, in 2012 to offer elegant, luxuriously finished Swiss watches with their own “character and mystery” at an affordable price point.

Pierre Bernheim said: “Matthew brings a wealth of experience to 88 Rue du Rhone and is very well respected in the watch industry. Matthew completes the experienced team of Craig Leach, UK chief executive officer, and Marcus Braybrook, head of marketing & PR, who have already built a solid foundation for the brand in the UK with key retailers including Selfridges, ROX, Watches of Switzerland and Watch Shop. Our aim as a business is to continue to invest in the UK market and to make our brand even stronger”.

The Rue du Rhone collection offers quartz and mechanical automatic pieces for men and women in sizes ranging from 29mm to 45mm blending traditional watchmaking techniques with contemporary design.
