Richemont has confirmed that the group’s chief technology, Dr Jean-Jacques Van Oosten, has left the company after just four months in the job.
A brief statement to investors said that Dr Van Oosten has stepped down as CTO and as a member of the Senior Executive Committee with immediate effect.
“We respect Dr Jean-Jacques Van Oosten’s decision to pursue his career outside the Group and wish him every success in his future endeavours,” the statement concluded.
The departure comes at a time when Richemont is trying to complete its acquisition of Yoox Net-A-Porter Group and to improve the way its watch and jewellery maisons operate across digital platforms.
