Pulsar extends marketing budget by 15%

Pulsar has increased its marketing budget by 15% after "high sales" over the festive period.

The increased budget has allowed the watch brand to book additional TV and print ads.

The first of the additional TV ads kicked off this weekend during coverage of the World Rally Championships 2014 season highlights on ITV4.

Pulsar has strong links with motorsports and is the watch partner to the Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team. Throughout the rally season Pulsar’s name will be displayed on the team’s cars, the team rally facilities, its transport vehicles and its websites.

Additional print ads funded by the increased marketing budget will run in consumer magazines Top Gear, Shortlist and Sport.

While Pulsar declined to give any exact figures about its festive trading, the brand did report in December that "recent sales into and out of the shops have reflected a great upturn in sales".
