Property of a Lady – July auction targets ladies

With the UK watch auction summer season in full swing Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions has released the catalogue for its sale on July 9th.

The auctioneer states that the Fine Watches, Pens & Luxury Accessories sale includes a number of ladies wristwatches which are ‘coming back into fashion’ and are proving a hit with buyers because of the popularity of large sports watches.

Star lots include an Audemars Piguet ref. F04056 (lot 169) lady’s 18ct white gold and diamond wristwatch est. £1,500-£2,000; a Cartier Tank Anglaise ref. 2544 (lot 184) lady’s 18ct white gold and diamond bracelet wristwatch est. £3,000-£5,000; a Chopard ref. 462209 (lot 190) lady’s 18ct gold and tourmaline wristwatch est £1,000-£1,500 and a Boucheron ref.8092 (lot 177) lady’s Art Deco 18ct gold wristwatch est £400-£600.

Other lots include a WM Turner – London 22ct gold repousse pair cased pocket watch No.9300 (lot 160) with case marked London 1770 est £1,000-£1,500; a Breguet Type XXI, ref.3810 (lot 171) 18ct gold wristwatch est £4,000-£6,000 and a Gruen Mystery Dial ref. 422-028 (lot 195) 14ct white gold wristwatch circa 1950 est £500-£700.

The auction takes place at Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions Donnington Priory salesroom in Berkshire at Noon but also offers viewings in Mayfair at Mallett on Dover Street between 27-30 June. The catalogue can be viewed here
