Police release info on stolen Chopard watches

Police are warning watch retailers to be on the lookout for two stolen Chopard watches that were snatched on the street from a man in Southall who was on his way to sell them.

The stolen watches are a white gold Chopard watch set with diamonds and a black strap and a yellow gold Chopard watch with white face and floating diamonds, believed to be from the Chopard Happy Diamonds line, with circular link bracelet strap.

The watches were stolen during a mugging on Alexandra Avenue in Southall on February 15 at 2.30pm. Two men approached the 23-year-old man carrying the watches and snatched his bag after punching him and throwing him to the floor.

The victim had been on his way to sell the watches which are believed to be valued at between £20,000 and £30,000.

DC Reuben Pearson said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a man who was going about his day-to-day business. We are appealing not only to try and find these individuals but also to try and locate the stolen watches which are of great value. These are very unique watches so would be recognisable to a business who may intercept it."

If any retailers have information on these watches they can contact police on 020 8721 7253 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
