Jaquet Droz has released a trio of watches using a delicate enamelling technique to showcase its craftsmanship of the ornamental technique.
Paillonne enamelling was first developed in the 18th Century which sees motifs picked out of Grand Feu enamel using gold paillons positioned by hand and set in place under translucent enamel fondant.
The new watches decorated with this technique are a 39mm Petite Heure Minute, a 43mm Grand Seconde and a 50mm pocket watch. Jaquet Droz has used a floral motif, a signature theme of the brand, to decorate each of the three watches, with blued steel hands to complement the blue enamel.
Each example is offered in a strictly limited run of eight pieces and the wristwatches are offered on blue or black alligator leather straps.
