Olympic hopeful wins Loomes watch with perfect time

Robert Loomes & Co managing director Robina Hill presented event rider Bill Levett with a watch at the Rockingham International Horse Trials.

Levett achieved the optimum time at cross country, the first rider to do so in the four years Loomes & Co has sponsored the event, winning the Robert Loomes Championship. He is hoping to represent Australia at the Rio 2016 Olympics this summer.

The Robert Loomes Championship is the prize for the rider with the optimum time on cross country. The prize is a hand-made British watch from the Loomes workshops.

Rockingham International Horse Trials attracted riders from sixteen nations this year, with many still vying for a place in their teams for the Olympic Games.

Last year’s winner Sir Mark Todd, competed in both the cross country and showjumping events whilst wearing his prize.

Levett won a Regency Robin watch, a newly released limited edition of 50 stainless steel watches with multi-layered dials and with Arabic numerals that were first popularized in the Regency period.
