Nomos wins second Good Design Award

Nomos Glashütte was awarded the Good Design award in 2012 from the Chicago Athenaeum for its Tangente Datum.

The win was announced following the Christmas break and it is the second time that the German watch brand has scooped the award after its Zürich model was awarded last year.

The history of the Good Design Award dates back to 1950 when Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr. first awarded the prize in Chicago.

Today the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design cooperates with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies in Dublin in bestowing this major recognition of product design.
