Enrolment has opened for the Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking Schools in Miami, America, promoting its tuition free program which commences in January 2013.
The school offers the opportunity to study watchmaking under the Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program (WOSTEP) partnership programme.
The two-year full time program is tuition free though students pay about $3,500 (£2,185) towards tools and equipment.
The program is designed to train and certify graduates for a fulfilling career in the watchmaking profession.
WOSTEP was founded in 1966 by Ebauches SA and the Federation of Swiss Watch Manufacturers (FH) and is an institute for further education in watch making.
The Nicholas G. Hayek watchmaking school are based in Miami, Shanghai in China, Pforzheim and Glashutte in Germany and Kuala Lumpa in Malaysia.
