Romain jerome steampunk chrono collection

NEW PRODUCTS: Romain Jerome’s colourful chronos

RJ-Romain Jerome’s Titanic-DNA collection has expanded with the introduction of five new colourful and sporty timepieces.

The Steampunk Chrono Colours maintain the signature aesthetics of the collection and boast retro-futuristic design. The timepieces have even inspired a new collection of cufflinks too.

The Steampunk Chrono has a 50mm-diameter case and provides a clear view of its mechanism, which comprises more than 330 parts and is held by four screwed pistons.

The mechanical self-winding movement has been specifically developed for Romain Jerome and has a 42-hour power reserve.

The polished steel used for the bezel contains authentic steel from the wreck of the Titanic, which is 3,840 metres under the sea. The bezel and case is created in mirror-polished steel, while the inner bezel ring has been lacquered in a variety of bright colours. Wearers can choose from yellow, red, blue, green and orange.

At 6 o’clock on the dial there is a mobile propeller driven by an oscillating weight and echoing the steady churning of the Titanic’s majestic propellers. A mechanism makes the propeller turn four times faster than the oscillating weight and always in the same direction, independently of the latter’s rotation direction.

The watches each come in a limited edition of 99 pieces.

Steel cufflinks have also been produced in five colour versions and feature a propeller, which is loyal to the spirit of the Titanic-DNA collection.
