New distributor for Morellato watch straps

Italian watch strap company Morellato has announced that its distribution in the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar will now be handled by Grenchen Time.

The Essex-based distributor already distributes Rodania watches and Nona silver jewellery, while its sister company has been the UK and Ireland distributor for Michel Herbelin watches for over 25 years.

This year Morellato is aiming to strengthen its positioning and extend its presence in strategic markets like the UK. The watch strap company identified Grenchen Time as a “perfect partner” to help fulfil this aim and further increase business.

“We share with Grenchen Time the path and the values of family companies which, through determination, strategy and an international outlook, have gained their leadership and reputation collaborating with the most known watch and jewellery brands. This partnership will allow Morellato Watchstraps to increase its presence in the UK’s top retailers,” comments Massimo Carraro, chief executive officer of Morellato Group.

Peter Gauntlett, managing director of Grenchen Time, adds: “Morellato Watchstraps already have a loyal following in the UK trade due to their high quality and mid to luxury price points.  We intend to build on this solid foundation, implementing the top levels of service for which our company is well known.”

With a wide range of collections, Morellato offers a unique combination of ancient craftsmanship tradition with the most modern production and Italian design. Under the guidance of Massimo Carraro, the Morellato Group now targets the watch and jewellery market with its own brands Morellato, Sector No Limits, Philip Watch, Chronostar and Bluespirit as well as through brands under worldwide licence, namely Furla, Just Cavalli, Maserati, Pepe Jeans and Trussardi, and through the brands it distributes, Police, Ice Watch, Timberland and Gant.
