Mühle-Glashütte targets globetrotters with latest sport watch

Watch brand Mühle-Glashütte’s latest timepiece has been launched with a view to sell to frequent international travellers.

The new model of the Terrasport line, the Terrasport IV GMT, shows the wearer the time in two time zones with a view to aid frequent flyers, and is designed in the style of historic pilots’ watches.

The minimalist appearance features a black face with delicate hands and clear numerals, designed to make it easy to read the time at a glance, with the white minute graduation prominently standing out against the dark background.

Instead of the number twelve, the watch contains a triangular marking at the 12 o’clock position. This characteristic feature of true pilots’ watches is a homage to the tradition on which this watch is based.

Given that Mühle-Glashütte’s number one priority is to clearly display all times all the time, the hand showing the second time zone also has a red tip and is therefore easily distinguishable from the hour, minute and second hands.

The hour markers are coated in Super LumiNova which means that the watch is also easy to read at night.

The watch’s 42mm wide case made of brushed stainless steel aims to ensure that the timepiece provides precision and reliability, even at high altitude. It protects the SW 330 movement, which has been modified with Mühle’s finishes.

Alongside the company’s patented shockproof woodpecker neck regulation, the movement also boasts its own Mühle rotor and a 42-hour power reserve.
