Muhle-Glashutte introduces manufacture collection

Mühle-Glashütte has launched a collection of three limited edition premium watches designed to show-off the level of craftsmanship at the German watchmaker.

The new R. Mühle & Sohn collection, named after the founder of the family-owned company, features 18ct red gold and steel versions of the Robert Mühle Auf-Ab power reserve model with small seconds and a steel-cased Robert Mühle Kleine Sekunde. Each model features a Mühle-Glashütte manufacture movement and are now available in stores.

The R. Mühle & Sohn collection will now be used solely for the company’s manufacture timepieces.

The RMK 01 and RMK 02 calibres created for the watches feature signature Glashütte watchmaking techniques including screwed gold chatons and as well as a finely-engraved balance cocks. A three-fifth plate, similar to those used by the company around the 1950s, is employed rather than the more common three-quarter plate.

A newly developed indication, present at the 12 o’clock position of two of the new models, represents the passage of the watches’ 56 hour power reserve and is achieved using an independent module.

The 18ct red gold Robert Mühle Auf-Ab is limited to 20 pieces worldwide while the steel Robert Mühle Auf-Ab and steel Robert Mühle Kleine Sekunde watches are limited to 145 pieces each.

Update: Mühle-Glashütte informs us that the 18ct red gold Robert Mühle Auf-Ab has now sold out.
