Montblanc to unveil new 1858 collection at SalonQP

Luxury brand Montblanc will present its new 1858 collection for the first time in Europe at this year’s SalonQP exhibition.

Having just unveiled the collection at SIAR (Salon Internacional Alta Relojeria) in Mexico, Europe will gets its first glance up close at the luxury show at the Saatchi Gallery on 12-14 November.

The 1858 collection pays tribute to manufacture Minerva, which was bought by Montblanc in 2006. The monopusher chronograph developed by Minerva during the 1930s has served as a guide for developing the new Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter chronograph.

Inside the watch is operated by a hand-wound mechanical calibre, and outside it is adorned with an 18-karat round, red gold case with curved horns.

In homage to 1930s design, Montblanc has integrated key historical design features, like the bevelled crown with its coaxial push-piece and a black dial combining large luminescent Arabic numerals with a tachymetric scale.
