IN PICS: Montblanc reveals three new pieces for SIHH

Montblanc has released details of three new watches for 2016 ahead of next month’s SIHH luxury watch trade show.

The first model previewed by Montblanc is the Timewalker Exotourbillon Minute Chronograph Limited Edition 100. It witnesses the rather logical step of introducing its innovative Exotourbillon to its Timewalker collection, which currently top-out with the admittedly impressive bi-frequency Chronograph 100.

This new titanium watch sees the Timewalker collection’s signature black and red colour scheme, vertical brushing, high tech materials and stylised marker typeface applied to the familiar Exotourbillon monopusher chronograph design.

Horizontal ribbing either side of the off-centre dial suggests there’s room for evolution within the Timewalker range.

The other two watches announced further push ahead Montblanc’s strategy of offering complications at unheard of prices. The Heritage Chronométrie Twincounter Date is a 40mm two-hand watch with two registers at the three and nine o’clock positions. The first displays the date using a hand over a one to 31 scale rather than the more customary date window, while the second displays small seconds.

Meanwhile the Heritage Chronométrie Chronograph Annual Calendar integrates a chronograph and annual calendar in a 42mm with shared sub dials. Chronograph hands and running seconds are differentiated by blued hands.

While prices in GBP are yet to be announced Montblanc have stated that the Heritage Chronométrie Twincounter Date will cost €2,790 in steel.

The Heritage Chronométrie Chronograph Annual Calendar is likely to cost €9,500 in steel and €18,900 in gold.
