Michael Spiers welcomes sailors back to Plymouth after the Rolex Fastnet Race

Rolex sponsors the prestigious Fastnet Race — one of the world’s largest and most diverse sailing events — because the regatta shares the watchmaker’s values of excellence, precision, innovation, elegance and reliability.

It also reaches a global audience of affluent sailing folk who are a prime target market for luxury watches.

Closer to home, Rolex’s local partner in Plymouth, Michael Spiers, is taking advantage of the Fastnet Race by inviting its customers to enjoy the summer with them and peruse a few prestige timepieces.

The retailer has themed its Plymouth shop windows with images from the race and key models from the 2017 Rolex collection, and is hosting a special event across two nights for their clients showcasing the latest watches in store.

The 47th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race is coming to a close with boats already arriving in Plymouth from yesterday evening, in time for the British Firework Championships over the next two evenings.

Following the in store event, guests will enjoy an evening of entertainment visiting the race village in the marina to view all the boats and to soak up the post-race atmosphere, followed by the breathtaking British Firework Championships display.
