Maurice Lacroix is motoring into Baselworld this year with its oversized Pontos S Supercharged chronograph.
The Swiss manufacturer’s description of the watch is laced with automotive overtones designed to appeal to car and racing enthusiasts. The Pontos S Supercharged is “a powerful engine and equally forceful bodywork,” the company says. “Performance and style are guaranteed to set the pulse of thrill-seekers racing . The generous case with its adrenaline-charged lines does the rest,” it adds.
A 48mm steel case houses a mechanical automatic ML 140 calibre on a large ETA Valgranges base, which lends itself to its oversized display of hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph.
“While this authentic mechanical performance-accelerator is known for its reliability and its precision, it is also one of the biggest horological motors on the market, enabling optimal layout of the chronograph counters to ensure perfect readability,” the brand claims.
