Luminox to make aggressive push in US market

US watch brand Luminox, famed for its light technology dials, is set to make a fresh push into jewellery retailers in the US, after the expansion of its management team.

The brand has hired Dennis Biggane as its national sales manager for North America, having previously worked as vice president of sales at TAG Heuer.

The company also hired Karen Birnie as marketing manager for the United States, while Hanna Shifs, who joined Luminox in 2010, has been promoted from accounts receivable manager to finance manager at the brand’s US Headquarters in California.

Its co-founder Barry Cohen said: “Luminox is now sold worldwide in over 45 countries but the US was our first, and still is, our largest market.

“The addition of these quality employees ensures that we have the right support system to aggressively pursue more growth in the jewellery sector.”

The brand is also sold through outdoor and lifestyle retailers, tapping into its hardwearing designs created for diving, flying and on-land all terrain activities. In the UK it is sold through the Watch Shop and the recently acquired Jura Watches, which now operates under CW Sellors.
