Omega has revealed it has created two special timepieces to celebrate its role as the official timekeeper of the 2016 Ryder Cup.
The Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ryder Cup” Limited Edition collection comes in 41.5mm and a ladies 34mm size. The 41.5mm model features a silvery dial decorated with a golf ball pattern. The blue hour and minute hands and indexes are accompanied by an 18ct yellow gold seconds hand. The 34mm model has a white mother-of-pearl dial with 12 diamond indexes in blue holders and a Ryder Cup logo pattern with the “Seamaster” name in red.
The overall combination of white, blue, gold and red are inspired by all the colours of the Ryder Cup. Both models include an additional blue coasted nylon fabric strap and are engraved on the case back with the “Ryder Cup” logo and “Limited Edition”.
In addition to the new Seamaster Aqua Terra models, OMEGA has also released a special Ryder Cup Nato Strap in the Team USA colors of red white and blue.
The brand is associated with many of golf’s leading players and has acted as official timekeeper for events such as the Ryder Cup US, PGA Championship, and most recently the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic games.
