Legendary boxer visits Holler’s UK headquarters

Panamanian boxer Roberto Duran, winner of numerous world boxing titles, last week visited the UK headquarters of fashion watch brand Holler, becoming the brand’s latest ambassador.

Duran visit the offices of DMJ, Holler’s distributor, picking out the brand’s Goldwax Gold watch as his favourite.

DMJ’s managing director Darren McCormick said the meeting was memorable, having been a long-term fan of Duran.

“We are very proud to have secured another endorsement of such talent which rightfully reflects all elements of Holler as a brand,” he said.

Duran is known across the world but in his native South America he is known for his charitable contributions.

A film of the boxer’s life is currently being made, starring Robert de Niro and US r’n’b star Usher. He officially retired from boxing in January 2002 at age 50, following a car crash in October 2001. Duran has a professional record of 119 fights, 103 wins with 70 KOs.

Holler has said that, with Southern American being home to some of the world’s largest emerging markets it is “certainly one that Holler would like to enter”.

The brand also has ambassadors in the shape of UK dance troupe Diversity.
