Tippi Hedren has been unveiled as the star of Gucci’s latest watches and jewelry advertising campaign.
The 88-year old American actress, best-known for her starring role in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 classic The Birds, plays a fortune-teller in the advertising campaign.
She is seen seated in a richly decorated interior in contemporary Los Angeles, with gilded gold chairs, silk table cloths, crystals and candles, where she holds the attention of her young visitors as she practices the arts of palmistry and crystal ball reading.
Ms Hedren, who is mother to actresses Melanie Griffith and grandmother to Dakota Johnson, brings a mysterious, mystical atmosphere that is perfectly in keeping with the aesthetic of the new collections, Gucci says.
Along with Gucci jewelry collections, the campaign features G-Frame, G-Timeless and new automatic watches that launched at Baselworld.
