Larsson & Jennings introduces automatic models

Anglo-Swedish watch brand, Larsson & Jennings, has launched its first range of Swiss-made, mechanical watches.

The new model retains the unmistakable minimalist aesthetic of the brand’s current range, but incorporates functional additions.

Examples of these additions include: the introduction of a sweeping second hand, a folding deployment clasp, and date calendar functionality.

Under the bonnet, the movement that powers the new watches is a 21-jewel ETA2892.A2.

CEO of the brand, Andrew Jennings, spoke proudly of his company’s move into a more luxury price point: “It has always been an ambition of Larsson & Jennings to launch an Automatic watch; a pipeline dream. We’ve worked closely with some of the most revered Swiss watchmaking partners to make a watch that uses a top-line automatic movement honouring the vintage mechanical watches that inspire our designs.”

“We have spent nearly four years developing Larsson & Jennings into a premium watch label, creating an Anglo-Swedish marriage that combines classic vintage dress watch design references with a minimalistic and contemporary edge,” Jennings continued. “Now this positioning is clear, we feel it’s the appropriate time to bring a new level of luxury and design detail into the product offering and look forward to seeing how our audience interacts with that.”

The series will cost £995, comes in four colourways, and will be available from December.
