Lars Larsen to strengthen UK presence at LWS 2014

Swiss-made, Danish-designed brand Lars Larsen Watches has signed up to exhibit at the London Watch Show in 2014.

The watch brand, which made its debut into the UK watch market at International Jewellery London last month, has chosen the trade-only London watch show, run by the publishers of WatchPro magazine, to raise awareness of the brand.

Lars Larsen Watches co-founder and owner Dan Corfitzen said: "For us, the London Watch Show 2014 is an opportunity to show what our designers and engineers have made. We are new to the British market, so it is very important for us to get our message out – top quality Danish design at reasonable prices for the end user, good margins for the retailer, and serious handling in all our processes.

"For us it is not just important to have a trade show 100% dedicated to our products but also for purchasers, and retailers, and the industry itself. I believe indeed that we in the future will see more product-specific fairs. In the times we live in it is a natural progression, hence we are very excited."

The organisers of the London Watch Show, which was held for the first time earlier this year, has confirmed that it will return to the Freemasons’ Hall in 2014 and will open on a Sunday to allow for retailers’ schedules.

Corfitzen recognises the significance of the event for getting to know the UK watch industry.

He commented: "It is important to remember that the market here is the UK, and thus be aware that a trend in Italy cannot necessarily be implemented in the UK. By having the London Watch Show, we as a manufacture have a much greater opportunity to listen to our customers in the UK market."
